2.2 The journalist interface
The journalist interface allows the creation and editing of website contents. The available options in the back office allow both the listing of existing articles and the creation of new ones, as shown below.
2.2.1 Article search
By choosing the option “List” a list of all the articles already created in the system comes up on the screen.
The identification of each article is based on the article’s id (a number specific to the article), the author of the article, the date of creation and information on its approval and the editor responsible for approval, as well as the date that happened.
Where the number of articles to be listed is large, the system automatically paginates search results. In order to navigate through the list of articles, there are the options “Previous” and “Next” which appear immediately after the last listed article
The journalist interface also enables a search of articles by id, title, theme or author.
The text box immediately below the “List” and “New” options allows the introduction of an id or one or more words for a search by article title. Hence, whenever the intention is to list articles, by typing in this box it becomes possible to filter the obtained result. If, for example, we type in the word “News” in the aforementioned box and if we press the “List” option, then the screen will only display those articles with a title which includes the word “News”. A search by title can be carried out either in uppercase or lowercase letters.
Immediately below the box for the id or title search there are two menus. The first allows a search by subject and the second by author. These two search criteria may be used either individually or in combination. It is a similar case for the title search. For example, it is possible to list articles with the word “schools” in the title, with the subject “News” and which have been created by the author “anav”.
