2.2.2.9 Public debate
The public debate options allow you to define whether a comments form will be made available when users are viewing an article. When this option is activated the visitors may send to the website one or more comments related to the article. The insertion of comments is made via a comments form, placed immediately after the article. The form model to be inserted is defined by the technical team of the website. The sent comments are necessarily to be approved by an editor before becoming visible on the article’s page. The technical staff can change this on the configuratio file (config.php), where default settings are established and unlimited exceptions can be set on a per article basis).
2.2.2.10 Classification of critics
This option allows the back office user to insert a classification for the article undergoing editing. As happens with the previous options, critics may be classified, for example, in articles containing cinema, music reviews etc…
2.2.2.11 Access restrictions to an article
The final box on the right-hand bar of the article editor allows you to restrict article access to certain users of the website. The articles designated restricted access are only visible to authorised website users; for the remainder, the article is never viewed.
The authorised user logins are to be inserted per line in the appropriate box. If you want all registered users to have access to the article, but not other visitors, then insert the word “ALL” in uppercase.
2.2.2.12 Save an article preview option
In the footnote section of the article editing interface the options “Save” and “View” can be found.
The save option allows you to retain the changes made either to an article or in registering a new article in the Siteseed database. All information introduced into the editing field of an article, as well as options selected from the command bar, will only be registered by the system from the point when the "Save" option is pressed.
The “View” button allows you to pre-view an article edited before it is registered by the system. If you want to confirm whether the final result after editing an article, either in visual terms or in terms of text formatting, is that intended, then use this option before saving the article to the system. By pressing the “View” button, a new area with the article in preview will appear in the editing interface.
If the final result represents that intended then you may proceed with saving the article. Otherwise new changes may be made before the “View” button is again pressed.
2.2.3 Create new article
In order to create a new article, you have simply to select the option “New” from the Journalist interface, in the main backoffice menu.
The interface for the creation of a new article is similar to that used for editing an article. However, if the new article is not saved, it will not be possible to use the “Word import” options” and “File send” in the side command bar.
In order to use these options you have first to save the article by pressing the “Save” button in the lower left-hand corner of the article editing interface.
